I am married to Rob Roberts and I am involved in various parts of church life, one of my roles being leader of our parent and toddler group “Ring-o-Roses“. This role fell onto me about twenty years ago and it is a role I have grown to love. It is a privilege to be able to help and relate to mums, dads, grandparents and child care workers. As a mom of three and now grandmother to five, I feel I have much experience and support to offer and I love to see the children as they grow and develop.
I became a Christian at the age of nine, being brought up in a Christian home and taken to church before I was born. I was baptised at the age of thirteen. I have always loved singing – God truly put a song in my heart – and several years ago I became a singer in the church music team.
Another of my roles is leading a ladies home group on Thursday afternoons during school term time. This is mainly for women who are unable to attend one of the evening groups, mainly due to parental responsibilities. I love to study the Bible, God’s handbook for life, and it is great to learn together with others, also to help each other in the various things life can throw at us and to pray for/with each other. My favourite parts of the Bible include Isaiah chapters 53 and 55, and Psalm 91 but there are many many more scriptures that I love.
My hopes for the future: to see a mighty move of God’s Holy Spirit that will bring salvation, restoration and healing in the church, in families and in our community.
My God is an Awesome God!
