Finally, the wise men reach their destination. Their diligence and search receive its due reward. Matthew 2:9 After this interview the wise men went their way. And the star they had seen in the east guided them to Bethlehem. It went ahead of them and stopped over the place where the child was.

I want you to notice something very interesting in this story. We find it in the following verses

When they saw the star, they were filled with joy! They entered the house and saw the child with his mother, Mary, and they bowed down and worshipped him. Then they opened their treasure chests and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

Matthew 2:10-11

They could have just looked through the window, but no, we are clearly told they entered the house. Their search had been too long and costly just to remain outside the house so they entered in.

I believe it is just as important for you and me to do the same. We must enter into the house too. It is not just enquiring. It is also about encountering

You might ask why? Verse 11 tells us. They entered the house and saw the child with his mother, Mary, and they bowed down and worshipped him. Then they opened their treasure chests and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

They saw baby Jesus and realised this was something special and I agree. Jesus is special. The reason he came is special – to bring you and I back to God.

When we realise how much Jesus suffered on that cross taking our sins our response can only be like the wise men to worship Jesus. True worship is following Jesus every day and obeying him as the wise men did. They were told to go home a different way and they did.

So are you satisfied simply just to look on Jesus, or serve him and make a sacrifice to him?

Remember those that seek Him with a whole heart find Him.

Stay safe and Blessed
