Jim Reeves sang a song called “Welcome To My World” that started with the words: Welcome to my world. Won’t you come on in? Miracles, I guess still happen now and then.

Yes Jim, miracles do still happen but it takes us to do something!

I talked yesterday about making sure we do not get too downhearted after a great Easter and suddenly things becoming flat.

Well let’s encourage ourselves by the good news that we may be at last having some degree of normality returning very soon, so with that in mind let’s do something.

John Wesley said: “Do all the good you can, By all the means you can, In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as ever you can.”

Let us be determined when we can start living again it is going to be different. It starts not by the Prime Minister, it starts by you.

If the whole world is going to change, we first have to realise that God needs us to change our individual worlds. Surely the last year has taught that?

So let me ask you a question; what is my world?

There was a young man in the Bible called Jeremiah and God speaks to him.

God called young Jeremiah to change the world around him. Jeremiah first tried to get out of it by quoting, “Oh Lord God, I do not know how to speak; I am only a child.”

God had so much confidence in this young man’s ability that he replied, “Do not say, `I’m only a child.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you.”

There’s a lesson for us all – God has confidence in all of us. How cool is that?

God needs today more than ever for you and I to prepare ourselves to go out and change His world when lockdown ends. We have a golden opportunity more than ever before to ensure we tell the good news about Jesus. Just like that, God needs you to go out and change your world. When young Jeremiah obeyed, God used him in unbelievable ways.

Start by prayer

The Bible says that the prayer of the righteous man avails much. When we pray, God brings change. When I talk about our family I mean our own family and also our family here in Pype Hayes.

Every Wednesday we receive a prayer list for our church family. I hope you use it. There is a contact list that you have, so why not go through the list a few names at a time and pray?

You know the weather forecast was not great for Sunday’s baptism, but we prayed and it was glorious sunshine. I do not believe it was a coincidence, I believe it was an answer to our prayer.

God needs you to come to him and pray for your family. If you don’t pray for them, maybe nobody else will. Maybe your family has a lot of problems right now. This part of your world is not going to change if you don’t pray for it.

This is what happens when you pray: you take your family and you bring them before the throne of God.

The Bible says that we should come boldly before the very throne of God to find grace to help us in our times of need.

Hebrews 4:16

The Bible says that we should come boldly before the very throne of God to find grace to help us in our times of need (Hebrews 4:16). God wants to help your family but he needs you to pray for them. One of the ways you can change your world is by praying for your family.

On our website we have material to help you pray if you are not used to doing it on a regular basis. Please do use it, it is free to use.

We need to start preparing for another event after Easter, taking that Easter story into the new world we will be entering into in the next few months. Easter is not a one ear event. It is an everyday event because He is risen and the world needs to know that there can be a better future ahead but I believe it all starts with our personal relationship with Jesus. Remember Jeremiah was a young boy but God had confidence in his ability and He has in you too. So start preparing by reading your Bible as I said yesterday. and praying like never before for Miracles, I guess still happen now and then.

Stay safe and Blessed.
