We are now beginning to see the advertisements for holidays as we return to somewhere near normal; we are going from pandemic to planning.

For many, I’m sure there is still a reservation in the sense of not being confident especially travelling abroad for a holiday. I’m sure though you have at least sat down and decided some sort of plan for the summer as especially in June restrictions seem to be lifted to a far greater degree than we have known for some time.

Planning is not wrong. In fact, it is vital for all areas of our life. Succession planning is talked about in business and again is vital for the growth achievability and also the future. What business is doing is also true for you and me.

The followers of Jesus are often told that God is working out things in our lives for His glory and His purpose. There is of course a favourite verse that I have put below which I’m sure all followers of Jesus have heard at one time or another. However, it is nonetheless true.

For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope. Then when you call upon me and come and pray to me, I will hear you. When you search for me, you will find me; if you seek me with all your heart.

Jeremiah 29:11-13

Everybody tries to figure out what to do with their lives but it’s God who has the master plan. Sometimes these plans are developed inside of you as dreams or wishes you have for your future.

Stay on course with God. Whatever position you are in, good or bad number 1 is to stay on course. God has a plan for your life in the next few months and years as He had before this pandemic hit us. God was not shaken nor was His plan for your life derailed because of this pandemic. Let me assure you that your destiny may be delayed but never destroyed. God’s purposes if you allow Him will always be fulfilled. Let me encourage you to stay on track with God and His plans will succeed.

There is a tendency to have this freedom and to forget about our relationship with God. When we finally have these restrictions lifted it is vitally important to continue meeting together as we have had to do albeit through zoom.

What about if through the pandemic you have strayed off course with God? We’ll take a tip from a man who strayed off course but yet was given a second chance with God. His name is Lot. Lot is the nephew of Abraham. Lot went and moved near the land of Sodom and Gomorrah. Sodom and Gomorrah were extremely wicked cities and I am not sure that would have been God’s plan for Lot.

God was not pleased with the people who lived in those cities. You know the story. God was about to destroy those two cities yet God had a plan for Lot because although Lot strayed off of the course Lot still loved God. He was just in the wrong place.

Lot was sitting at the city gate when God told them not to mix with such wicked people but God still had a plan. God sent two angels in to warn Lot and at daybreak, the angels took him and his family and pushed them outside the city. They were spared. God was allowing Lot to get back on the course of right living.

God has a plan and a purpose for your life. Right now as you seek out that plan, He asks that you live right and surround yourself with people who live for God.

So please look forward to June and when it comes enjoy, make plans but remember

in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.

Stay safe and Blessed
